This hotel may not be the flashiest in England but it is one of the best I have stayed in. The staff are sbaoluteley fantastic happy to help with anything, the pool table to umbrellas to giving you an ealy christmas present. It has seen better days of course. . The Manchester is a bit of a rabbit warren, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason in the layout of the place. There is a lift which must be the slowest in the country. Rooms are adequat in size and decor. Try to avoid having one of the rooms overlooking the back,if you do, keep the curtains... more

I stayed at The Manchester Hotel for a week, I found the staff very pleasant and helpfull, The rooms were somewhat small but clean, Food was good but possibly smaller than the average portion size. Generaly overall .......fair for a budget hotel more

This is a one tea bag, 9p baked beans, happy shopper hotel. They appear to have spent their entire 10 year refurbishment budget on the plasma TV in the lobby.
