This was our fourth visit to the Alexander Lodge Hotel, and we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Bournemouth. The hotel is situated on a quiet street in Southbourne, making it ideal for a good night's sleep and some time for reading books in the newly refurbished, very comfortable lounge. We are always given a warm welcome by the proprietors, Anne and Bob, and our children appreciate the "homely" atmosphere of the hotel. The food is superb - Anne's breakfast is cooked to perfection and served with a smile by Bob! The choice of breakfast items is varied and all ingredients are of the highest quality. The rooms and bathrooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable, and each room is provided with a comprehensive folder giving details of local attractions etc. Anne and Bob have worked hard to ensure that their guests gain the maximum benefit from their stay.
