Have just returned from a three night stay. The hotel was nicely situated and adequate for our needs. Our arrival a little early was no problem and we were welcomed with a cup of tea and biscuits. I can fully recommend this lovely hotel with wonderful, friendly (family run) staff that cannot help you enough. We arrived very late at night for our check in and they made us drinks and sandwiches! My husband and I had to stay in Bournemouth for only one night and it was last minute decision. the reason for our trip wasn't the happiest one as it was our friend's funeral but East Cliff Cottage Hotel made us feel just like at home. This hotel was absolutely perfect in every way! The rooms were extremely clean and you got value for money with the food. The staff are the most amazing people we've ever met, so friendly and accommodating. My wife and i will definitely be returning. I stayed here a couple of weekends ago, it's a great place and a great location, your right next to the sea, close to town and the train station. Warm welcome by Alan and his family, rooms were large and airy with decent en-suite facilities also fresh fruit,chocolates and tea/coffee in your room. Good selection for breakfast. After the rave reviews on TA, we chose to spend four nights here while in the area for a wedding. Despite being recently renovated, the property looks quite "tired", particularly the ceiling in the breakfast room, and the carpets, bathrooms and bedroom furnishings are rather faded and mismatched. The family make you feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door. We arrived late but were still offered a cup of tea after our journey. The rooms were very clean and homely and the breakfast lovely. I would recommend it to any of my friends going to Bournemouth. more
