I stayed there with two family members, the room we were given was the family room which was niced sized with a sofa, tv and wardrobe from what the other guests said we got one of the biggest rooms. the room was lovely if i had to say anything bad, it was a bit dated but nothing too bad. staff... more

After reading all the reviews we came very close to cancelling our reservation and loosing the £60 deposit, however as we struggled to find a hotel with 2 room vacancy we couldn't be too picky. The hotel is not dire, and is exactly what you expect for a 2* hotel. The rooms are small and very dated, but for the... more

I have recently returned from this hotel after having a weekend break with some friends. A large number of hotels would not accommodate us as we were a large group (all girls). The hotel has aa very cosy feel to it, and the bar is very well stocked for its small size. It has a beutiful beer garden. The rooms... more

We didn't stay in the actual hotel, but the lodge over the road. I am sure it was the first time the building had been opened in years based on smell of rotting poundstore kebabs when I walked through the door. Most the paint had given up trying to hold onto the walls under the strain of the smell and... more

on a hen-do so were in the annexe not main hotel - fair enough. Despite being one of the first in the group to book in my friend and I were put in an understairs room that was not much more than a broom cupboard. Bed linen looked clean but 'tired'. There were cobwebs in the corner of the room... more

I have stayed in hundreds of hotels in many dozens of countries. This is the worst. Specifically; rude incompetent staff, chaotic front desk, pitiful rooms (last decorated in 1957 I think...), grubby decor, dirty bed linen, inadquate bathrooms, pitiful breakfast. Other than that, it was great. In summary, if the producers of "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here"... more

We arrived at the Kensington Lodge Hotel late on a friday night. We were given keys to our room - imagine our delight when we opened the room and found 2 members of staff asleep in bed together! We thought they were guests and went back and got a different room only to be told that there wasn't anyone in... more

I stayed here during the Bournemouth sevens festival and I must say the staff were terrible. The lady manager was always frowning and talked like everyone is such a hassle. job satisfaction? I think not. However, it was all not that bad. There was only one person of the staff that I didn't feel uncomfortable around. I think he was... more

Staying here for a stag party, we were put in the annexe across the road (as mentioned in other review). A tired building with a few too many layers of paint, it had clearly seen better days, although the surface veneer was ok- at least it had seen paint and new carpets within the past few years. The bedroom was... more
