We stayed at Avalon beach hotel for a hen weekend. It’s a really stylish boutique hotel with friendly owners. Our room was Hector which was self catering and a good size. I originally reviewed this hotel when I last stayed in September 2008. Just been back for the first time since then. Pleased to report still as good as before. Rooms still look fresh & very clean. I defy anyone to have had a better breakfast anywhere. Also free wi fi provided which whilst this should be the norm is not.... more

A great place to stay if you want to have access to Bournemouth but without being slap bang in the bucket and spade zone. Was pleasantly surprised with this place. More of an upscale B&B than a 'hotel' as such but all rooms very clean and tastefully decorated thoughout. Very comfortable beds and pretty breakfast and lounge rooms. Good sized showers and bathrooms but water pressure variable.
