We have just returned from a one night stay in the Liston. Which I cannot fault at all. As one of 3 couples, none of us had any complaints. The rooms were clean and well equipped, although the newer rooms had an electric shower, whereas we had a shower attachment...which I can say is the only downside of our stay.... more

In Bournemouth for business we were initially offered a meal on arrival, cancelled whilst on route "had to send the chef home" admittedly we did arrive about an hour later than anticipated but were not even offered a sandwich as an alternative. An expensive hotel at £130 / night with poor quality room (reminded us of really bad student accomodation that no one ever actually rented!) both in size and condition. We recently had our wedding reception at the Liston Hotel. A nuumber of our guests stayed over for 2 days. I would recommend choosing the luxury rooms as there is quite a bit of difference between the standard rooms and the luxury rooms. I think the rooms are a bit hit and miss. This is a good, value for money hotel. We booked this as part of a coach tour package, which included meals. The food though plain, and given the average age of the customers this is to be expected, was very good. The hotel is presently being refurbished to quite a good standard.
