We had our trip to Dorchester planned for some time and had booked our stay at Bramlies after searching for accommodation on the internet. We arrived on Friday evening and were met by Sue's friendly, smiling face and were warmly welcomed into her home. We were taken to our room (The Blue Room) on the first floor of the house... more

We have just spent 3 days at Bramlies while exploring the area. Just wonderful, the service was second to none and Sue and Adie were so kind and considerate, we felt part of their family. Breakfast was even better than advertised. Superb stay, we will definately recommend. The Lily pad room was just perfect for us, modern yet cosy. more

This holiday was for my elderly parents and myself. The self contained part that we stayed in was excellent for us all. Sue made us feel thoroughly at home, making it a good base with which to explore the surrounding area. Would definately recommend this B & B to all. more

I stayed at Bramlies for one night, and was offered the 'Garden Suite', located in a small building within the back garden of the main house, and comprising a bedroom and a small living room. The bedroom was cosy, comfortable, and very clean. There was an ensuite toilet and sink, but the shower was situated in the corner of the... more

The Bramlies has recently been awarded 3 Stars by the AA. This award reflects the care and attention paid by Sue in running this B&B. Ideally located on the outskirts of Dorchester, it has easy access to the town centre (10 min walk) and the main ring road. There is ample off road parking and provision for bikers ! There... more

We booked in for a night on our tandem tour of Dorset and found this B & B so good that we extended it to 2 nights. Sue made us very welcome, the standard of comfort and cleanliness in the rooms was excellent and the breakfasts were great. We couldn't believe it only rated 3 tourist board diamonds as it... more

I've just spent 3 nights in the Lily pad at Bramlies. For anyone attending the Hip ultrasound course at Dorset Hospital I would highly recommend this accommodation. It was very clean, tastefully decorated with nice shower facilities and comfy double bed. TV reception was a little poor but watchable. Garden was lovely ,breakfast was fabulous and the family very friendly.... more

28 May 2008 | Trip type: Friends getaway

Had a five night stay with friends in the Garden Suite and the Lilly Pad, two rooms, one with a separate sitting room in very hot weather in early May. The newly refurbished rooms were spotlessly clean and nicely decorated if a little hot at night (the rooms were in a prefabricated structure in the garden behind the garage). Nice... more

We stayed one night at Bramlies and it was just what we needed. Accommodation in Dorchester was hard to find for 7 people, but between their three rooms, we booked them all and were all able to sleep comfortably. The rooms were very clean, the host family very approachable and keen to help, and the cooked breakfast was great -... more
