Friend and I went back in February for another workshop in the area and again were made to feel really welcome and spoilt. This time hot porridge for breakfast with cream, a treat to send us off for a days work.

Tucked away in a delightful corner of Somerset, Mereworth House was everything we could have wished for. Warm welcome from Ann and Philip, very comfortable room with excellent attention to detail. We will return.

We stayed 4 nights as we were in the area for a celebration. The comfortable house and pretty garden, coupled with Ann and Philip's kindness and attention to detail all made this a special occasion. Unexpectedly and unasked, Ann even made us canapes so that our friends could join us before we went down to the pub for our meal.

I stayed one night and wished it could have been longer. Lovely house and garden, very friendly and welcoming hosts, and nothing was too much trouble. I stayed in the smallest room (nursery) which had a very useful cloakroom right next door. The stars on the ceiling at night were wonderful! I would definitely stay here again. It's a find!

Stayed here with friends for one night while on a walking weekend. Philip was our host and was friendly and welcoming. Very comfortable clean rooms and the bed was a delight to sleep on. Nice touches were bathrobes, bottled water and fresh milk for coffee and tea in the room.

We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. Very comfortable room; also the invitation was given to use the conservatory and garden. Breakfast excellent with lots of choice. Nothing was too much trouble. Wish all B&Bs were this good. Would certainly recommend it.

This was my first stay at a b&b, and wasn,t sure what to expect. But I can honestly say that although out in the country it was close to town. The sights were amazing.
