I enjoyed a 'get away from it all' 4 night break at The Whirlies for the first time last August. I felt completely at home on arrival, being made most welcome by Carole and Trevor, two very special hosts. The Whirlies is perfectly situated for exploring the delights Purbeck has to offer; and a very comfortable room with breathtaking views... More

A very pleasant stay over a long weekend. Very friendly and helpful hosts, lovely breakfasts and a beautiful area to stay. We loved the bird feeders to look at whilst eating breakfast. We would certainly recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing few days.

We have stayed at The Whirlies regularly over the last 3 years and always enjoyed our times with Trevor and Carole who make us feel at home. A lovely quite, peaceful and relaxing setting with beautiful views over the countryside. The rooms and facilities are first class and spotless with a lot of pleasing touches. The breakfast is excellent and... More

Our hosts gave us a very warm welcome and were very helpful in giving us local information. The food was excellent with a nice variety over the two days. We love walking and found it to be a great location for both the countryside and coast of the Isle of Purbeck. We would not hesitate in returning if we come... More

I was very pleased to have chosen The Whirlies as my base for a short stay - Trevor and Carole were charming hosts. The room was spotless and also comfortable. Breakfast was everything a breakfast should be - It was pleasant and relaxing to sit and watch the birds in the garden surrounded by Dorset's pleasant countryside. Just what was... More

This was our return visit to the Whirlies, and once again everything was superb for a B & B. Trevor and Carole are charming hosts with nothing being too much trouble. The rooms are spotlessly clean with nice little touches of towel presentation, shower gel, a biscuit jar with the drinks tray etc, and you very much have the feeling... More

Found The Whirlies on the internet, and from the reviews decided to book. A couple of emails later and it we were all set for a three day visit to Swanage , and a couple of nights at The Whirlies. Carole met us on arrival and her welcome made us feel totally ease, she then showed us around our twin... More

Carole and Trevor are lovely people and are very helpful with information, our room was on the small side with two single beds that took up all of the room, and the door to the living area was kept closed so we couldnt use this when we had finished our day trips, being stuck in a tiny bedroom had put... We felt really sorry for this couple. They had the worst of the bad weather this summer and had come from Oz for a three week visit. I think they came to us near the end and had nothing except rain. Normally the room size isn't a problem, since most folks are out and about. But we are a b... More

April 2011 We had a very pleasant long weekend at The Whirlies. We stayed there while attending a family wedding nearby and were made to feel very much at home. The house is in a beautiful, quiet location, excellent breakfasts. Everything we could want. Trevor and Carole were great hosts. We would definitely return if we were ever in the... More
