I, my wife, our daughter and our mothers spent two nights in Annie and Marios's lovely period house a stones throw from the centre of Swanage. Had a general okay time in swanage. Taunton House was a pretty nice place to stay. Room clean and tidy and breakfast good but was disappointed that the proprietor was a smoker and the smell of tobacco permeated the dining room area at times. I had thought this was not permissable but obviously not the case here. more

Have now stayed several times at Taunton House and its very comfortable and welcoming. Lovely rooms with luxurious bed linen and great breakfasts. Superb location for idling round the town or long walks on the cliffs. Couldn't recommend it more. more

Loved the house with lots of beautiful features!! We all had a wonderful time and got on extremely well with Annie and Mario! Undoubtly one of the best and friendliest B & B on the south coast. Position is great, rooms and facilities larger and better than the norm, and propretiers are really helpful and friendly. Oh and the breakfast is first class, comparable to any up-market hotel. more

Yummy breakfast... lots of it ... homemade marmalade which I love..eggs bacon sausage tomatoes all freshly cooked on the spot Attention to detail. We have had many weekend stays at Taunton house and we just love it there. There is always a great welcome. Comfortable beds with beautiful crisp sheets, telly and en suite.
