My girlfriend and I stayed here the evening before the Great North Run in Newcastle. The house stands in hundreds of acres of open countryside and is also an equestrian centre, home to some superb thoroughbred horses. The owners were very welcoming and gave us a guided tour of the house which is in beautiful countryside. Coffee and tea were not available in the room - but downstairs by the toilet where you could help yourself!!. Chocolate biscuits were offered. We were given instructions on how to boil an egg in some new device, shown the fridge... more

If you come here to ride horses or just to relax, you should not miss a stay at this B&B. The beautiful country house has lots of character.
