just stayed one night at the lodge and I think the key thing people need to know about this place is that it is right next to the (very busy) main road, and is therefore VERY NOISY. I was in a room facing right out onto the road with windows that weren't double glazed. NOT what I was after for... more

We stayed at the lodge for one night only-thankfully. The web site is misleading to put it mildly-the angle of the photograph suggest country lodge not plastic motel beside very busy road-as for the suggestion that there food is fresh, local etc! The positives were the mangeress/receptionist/waitress-stephanie-she was pleasant, friendly and helpful-but she was multi-tasking and at breakfast it was... more

This hotel is right next to a busy main road which is cleverly disguised in the photos on the hotel's website. What looks like a country retreat is in reality a roadside motel. The room was tiny and the ensuite was a wetroom (with a terrible shower). Wouldn't have been bad for a budget break however it cost £65 per... more

When we arrived we was welcomed and shown immediately to our rooms which were lovely and well presented.. In the evening we had a table booked in the restaurant, not only was the food lovely and excellent value but the waiter and... more

The rooms at this hotel are great, I stayed in a large twin room which had a large shower room, plenty of large towels, TV, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel itself seems to be made up of self-contained units, rather than being one big hotel, and it is set in beautiful countryside, not far from Rye... more

Please do yourselves a favour and DO NOT stay here! We certainly did not! I was not going to sleep and might possibly have needed a visit to the doctor if I had. The website is totally misleading! The rooms, especially the bathrooms, look nothing like the site. The rooms are at best, like a bad 80's crossroads-alike effort and... more

During our stay the hotel had booked a coach party of 33 people. The staff of two were excellent but could not cope with all the people. Non coach party staff including ourselves felt evicted as we had to eat outside the hotel to avoid all the chaos. The hotel has potential but the shortage of staff and the policy... more

Hotel is really very modern, wooden floors, mirrors etc. All looks great. On arrival the manager was there to give us room key. As previous review says no we didnt have a flat screen but who cares the room was great and spotless. Bed was sooo comfy! Went into Rye during the day and then returned for drinks and dinner.... more
