Stayed in this hotel last year and came back again. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room again was lovely and clean. Good breakfast and lovely Sunday dinner. Only negative would say is that shower could be better, but would definately come back again.

Not sure why people have put negative things about this hotel. The staff are absolutely amazing. They are really friendly and cannot do enough for you. Dinner was fab & the service you cannot beat. I would highly recommend a stay here if you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere with lovely staff.

you get what you pay for ..... good basic clean ok for a weekend if you are not in the room all day !!! free parking as its a drive/cab/bus to the sea or main Brighton area. Bar and food available and is used as a locals (by the locals obviously) so a bit "clicky" but no trouble. Would prob... More

Cheap, deservedly so, but certainly not value for money. Stayed here for 2 nights with wife and two daughters while visiting the nearby campus of Univ of Sussex. The rooms were freezing cold and damp. In the (shared) bathrooms it would not have been possible to swing a cat; the water dribbled out of a shower with that uniquely antique... More

We stayed here for one night on a Christmas shopping weekend and found the hotel a really pleasant place to stay. We wanted a hotel where we wouldn't have to drive into the city or pay for parking for the weekend so this was perfect as we could just hop on the bus that took us into town in 5-10... More

Stayed here while accompanying my daughter who was staying at the local hospital. As there was a lot of snow the 5 minute walk to the hospital made this place a convenient base. My single room was clean but small and cramped and included the basics you would expect these days. The heating was efficient and kept the place warm... More

Room was pretty good for the price, but a little cold as radiator did not work. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Food was great in the evening but breakfast was not all that as eggs not properly cooked and still a little raw. Overall good value for money and would stay again.

Recently stayed for three nights whilst visiting friends in Brighton. Hotel rooms are very basic but clean and at £45 a night quite good value for the Brighton area. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the full English breakfast was very good and quite filling. One point which was very noticable and very welcome considering how cold it was during... More

Was forced to book a room on Tuesday 22 Jan-live only 5 minutes from the hotel but snow had affected all roads badly and public transport and taxis were unable to get in or out of Woodingdean, and as I am waiting for a knee replacement operation am unable to walk very far. The room was very cosy and warm and... More
