After reading the reviews here definitely had to book the Deluxe King Sea View Room at The Grand and was very impressed with the size of the room and friendliness of the staff. I got a deal for one night at £160 which exceeded the £100 I had planned to spend, but provided the most romantic weekend I could imagine.... more

We booked at the last minute and got a great deal. The staff were great. Despite arriving at 10pm it was no problem to change the feather pillows and duvet in the second of our 2 rooms as one of us is allergic to feathers. In general they were all very friendly even the ones we met in passing in... more

Best thing is friendly, helpful service from all staff. Well organised arrangements for peak times eg check out Sunday 11am. Breakfast very pleasant, often restocked and plenty of staff available. Nice pool, sauna etc. Easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, cinema etc. Lovely old fashioned grandeur of building. Fantastic for anyone wanting to sit in conservatory and view the sea,... more

Spent 2 nights last week in a family room with our 2 children (aged 4 & 8). Room was great with plenty of room and an enormous bathroom. All staff were very friendly and we were made to feel welcome in the bar area even with our children in tow! Breakfasts were excellent. The only disappointment was the pool being... more

You may think that charging £25 to park your car is bad enough. But this five star hotel does not offer value for money overall. The room we stayed in, although spacious, was shabby with stained and scuffed furniture and the room was too warm even though it was cold outside and the heating was not on. We couldn't open... more

We stayed at The Grand for the night recently whilst attending a concert at the Brighton Centre. We have previously stayed at the Hilton next door on many occasions but standards have slipped a bit there, so we thought we would try the Grand. The welcome, valet parking, public areas are all 5 star. The reception area and central staircase... more

Booked a deluxe room with seaview through lastminute.com around 4 weeks before trip for £159. Although expensive, I thought it welll worth it. The room was very large with huge bed, a sitting area looking out through full length balcony windows, and a further sitting area on one side of the room. My only negative comment would be that the... more

Me & my partner stayed in this hotel over new years. I don't have anything bad to say about this hotel apart from how expensive it was - but that is what you expect for a 5* hotel. We booked the VIP room and was very, very impressed with it. The room was huge. The windows stretched across half of... more

I had wanted to stay at this hotel for years only to be totally disappointed. We arrived at the 5 Star Hotel!!! The room was tired and had patches of carpet cut out under the air conditioning, the room was so bad for the £250 per night fee we asked to move rooms. The next room was equally as tired... more

My husband, daughter and I booked this hotel for a long weekend in Brighton. When you enter the The Grand you are impressed, the public areas are stunning and still remind you of a grand victorian beach resort. We booked a double room with an additional bed. When we arrived the bed wasn't in the room but a call to... more
