Hotel could do with a revamp, but was priced appropriately. Landlady/manager was very friendly and helpful. Night of our arrival was caribbean/reggae night - which went on late - and was noisy! Good breakfast. more

Similar to what everyone else has to say really! I found the lady who runs the place very friendly, but she doesn't have a clue! She's living in the 1970s! This B&B is totally out of date. A double bed should not consist of single matresses pushed together! (I only paid for a single so I didn't complain about this!)... more

It's disgusting that the AA has given this B and B, it isn't a hotel despite being advertised as it, 3 stars. It was dirty, and only one room out of the 4 my party had rented was sufficient to sleep in. One single room costing £100 did not even have enough room to walk round the, small, double bed.... more

This hotel is a complete and utter shambles. I stayed with a large group of friends and found the whole experience quite unnerving. The manager was extremely rude to all of us, considering the fact that we were paying £50 a night EACH! The rooms were in arrays of disrepair. One, had a hole in the wall, another one had... more

Stayed 4 nights and would agree with all reviews except that it was quite friendly and the position was great! We had the single duvet in a double case senario. Breakfast was just adequate , fruit juice gross! 53 steps to bedroom and no help offered with cases. Managed to park outside for £9 a day so that was a... more

I stayed here for one night with a friend as we were working in brighton and i have stayed in b&b's before and this was awful. The breakfast tasted like it had been heated up in the microwave and the fruit juice was nasty. It was instant coffee not perculated. The room was basic. Do not go there! more

Location: great. Service: terrible!!!!! Comfort: poor (filthy and old) Extra charge: £5 for baggage left after 10.45am check-out. I just returned to London from Brighton where I stayed at the Ainsley House Hotel with my girlfriend. Trip to Brighton was a last minute decision and the hotel was the only one with a free room. As a result, I paid... more

I've just returned from a stay at this hotel and despite paying for two nights left after the first night. The double bed was made up of two mattresses pushed together, when queried I was advised that this was the norm. I wished I had access to the internet before booking, I can't believe in 2009 people still offer this... more

First impressions of lounge and dining area was I WANTED TO GO HOME. This is no hotel it is a very dated bed... more

Dont stay here. Manageress was pretty blunt and you'd expect better service for 60 for a night. the 'full english' was 1 bit of bacon, a few beans, 1 egg and some stale toast and there was ants in the salt pots. The handwash in the bedroom/ shower etc was clearly recycoled bottles from ages ago, it wouldnt hurt to... more
