We were lucky that our usual (though, now unimaginitive) choice, the Hotel du Vin had no rooms available but that the Cavalaire did. If you are looking for clean, modern rooms, good breakfast and good service then the Cavalaire has them all. Our room (3?) was reasonably large though we had chosen to pay slightly more for a room described... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights to celebrate our joint birthdays. We arrived on Friday afternoon and struggled to find a parking space...that I felt would be "easy" to park in! But Derek soon persuaded me to squeeze into a spot right outside! And when I really was struggling, he was on hand to help! The Hotel... more

This little Hotel/B & B redifines the traditional Bead & Breakfast experience. Warm Welcome - Clean and well decorated rooms with quality bedding etc. Bathroom in our room was a little on the small side, but to be fair we were offered an alternative room with a bigger bathroom if desired. Breakfast was superb - brand name cereals, real fruit... more

We spent a fabulous weekend at the Cavalaire, in the gorgeous surroundings of the lovely Room 3. It's often hard for hotels to be both friendly and stylish - you usually have to sacrifice one or the other - but here Garry and Derek manage to deliver both. The welcome was warm and genuine - we were greeted with a... more

Me and my girlfriend Ailsa stopped at this Hotel back in June. I was looking for a romantic break. The hotel got some good reviews on tripadvisor, but its better than I could have hoped. The decore is very luxurous, and the room we stopped in, had a four poster bed, and a huge plasma TV. But the thing that... more

My partner and I had a wonderful night in Brighton staying at the Cavalaire. On arrival we had a warm welcome, and were made to feel very special - we were up-graded to the deluxe four poster room. As it was a birthday celebration this was especially appreciated! Garry and Derek were so helpful, and made some great recommendations for... more

My husband and I recently stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel (more of a B&B in terms of facilities) is great. We booked on the strength of reviews on this website and were not disappointed with the hospitality or the room. The attention to detail is good, the breakfasts are cooked fresh to order and Derek and Gary are... more

The room is good value for your money. Very clean comfortable bed, and the armchair in the room was one of the most comfortable chairs I've sat in. Roomy, clean, bright, bathroom, Cable TV. Limited closet space. Close to subway stations, supermarket and shops, and fast food outlets. The hotel features a functional restaurant, and 'business centre' for internet access,... more
