As the previous review states, there are better hotels in Brighton, probably within the same price bracket. However, if like myself, OH and two friends, you only are in Brighton for 1 night over the weekend, then accomodation in any category is thin on the ground, and this is where the Preston Park hotel comes into its own. Of course... more

Miserable room, miserable staff (specifically the receptionist), miserable hotel. Brighton is a great place and has many lovely hotels. This isn't one of them. The woman on reception could not have been more rude and unhelpful. Don't stay here - find somewhere else. more

It was with some trepidation that I booked at this hotel as I had read the reviews before I booked. I did manage to get it for £49 per night for two people so maybe that might have influence on the review. I found the creaking floorboards charming as opposed to annoying but the building is old so I don't... more

My wife and I stayed at this Hotel very recently, and were disgusted by the state of the room. It was very noisy, as the Hotel is opposite the A23, one of Brightons busiest roads, and the windows were not double glazed. The mattress on our bed was circa early 1900 with an old wire frame, and we were not... more

We stayed here for one night and that was too much! The Hotel is shabby and looks like it needs bull dozing and rebuilding. On arrival the receptionist was rude and unhelpful. Our room was through a maze of corridoors all of which needed decorating and had chunks missing from the walls. Our room was grotty and did not look... more

we booked our room throught late rooms.com and chose this hotel as it was the cheapest and had free parking which is a huge bonus in brighton. We had a huge room at the front, clean, lovely and warm, lots of free tea and coffee, trouser press and hairdryer. Happy chamberpersons came round next day to clean room and give... more

My wife and I stayed at this "3/4 *" hotel, and were completley disgusted. We paid £69 for 1 night (I know, they saw us coming!), with no breakfast included!! We finally managed to locate our room, through the maze of corridors, and we were quite upset at the standard. The room was about at boiling point, and the traffic... more

This is the worst hotel that I have stayed in, certainly in Europe, if not the world. It is very expensive, even by the outlandish Brighton standards. The curtains were broken. The window was dirty. They lie about having a pool, when they do not. There was building work going on, resulting in ladders being left around. They charged us... more

I stayed for just one night but found it very clean and comfortable and good value at £60. The room was a bit small but that is England for you. The meal in the restaurant was excellent - definitely I would stay there agin. more

From the road you see the Fawlty Towers similarity but hope it’s just the façade. As you struggle with your cases through the cumbersome doors you realise it isn’t at all like Fawtly Towers, it is in fact much worse. It’s not the Abigail’s Party décor, the Krypton Factor windows, the soft-as-granite mattress or the mouldy shower curtain that sum... more
