In the 1980s, this might have been quite the place but it is terribly tired now. I didn't have a seaview room but I reckon the view would be great so might be worth considering. If like me, you didn't have that, you look out on to fairly forgettable buildings and you could be anywhere. I suppose it's quite handy... more

Thank you for your comments. Our Seaview Rooms all give full views of the seafront and are larger bedrooms. Due to demand we have also introduced side Seaview rooms’ aswell. I was disappointed that you found the hotel tired as on the interior we have undergone a major refurbishment in all areas. Most major things within Brighton are at most...

The good: staff were very helpful and nice, in reception and housekeeping and in the restaurant The bad: booked the hotel especially because of its secure undergroung parking as we have a classic car that was built before car crime was invented and therefore has no door locks, but hotel neglected to tell us their car park doors dont raise... more

Thank you for your feedback The team here will be delighted of your feedback and assure you this is passed on. When asked all team members in the hotel should be aware of the 6ft height restriction within the car park. Following your comments I have asked all heads of department to re-train this to their teams. We have where...

well this was supposed to be a 4 star hotel...mouldy bathroom, hole in door , filthy windows and air con that dripped all night and they said couldn't move as no rooms ..so 2 nights of not sleeping....and only 1 towel! more

Management response from

Thank you for your feedback and assure you we are independently rated 4 star hotel. Additional towels are provided as standard in all bedrooms and as part of our environmental policy which is clearly signed in each room we encouraged single occupancy guests to not use additional towels. We are investigating all rooms based on your photos with regard to...

Poor hotel. Rooms small and shabby, with 3/4 double bed. Towels poly/cotton so do not dry very well. Little in the way of bathroom toilettries, shampoos etc, tiles chipped, walls dirty. We arrived on Sunday night and 10 of us wanted an evening meal at 7.30, the restaurant was completely empty, but we were told they had no food so... more

Thank you for your review All beds in standard bedrooms are 4’6” beds. Kingsize options are also available but due to high demand these tend to do very quickly. Alternatively 5’ & 6ft beds are available in Executive and Seaview rooms if you are prepared to upgrade. I am unsure as to why 10 people would be told that we...

Organised 100 work colleagues to stay at the Holiday Inn for 2 days in September. The hotel staff were amazing, from beginging to end. They organised everything from accommodation, dinner, disco, meeting rooms ect. The smooth running of our 2 days was completly down to the staff. I cannot fault anything. Rooms superb for all 100 of us, food great.... more

Having stayed last week at this hotel I would think it needs to have something extra to make it four star. The rooms are ok but as previously stated the towels are not fluffy as in most hotels and reminded me of nappies and looked like they could do with replacement. The food was very medicocre and if you stay... more

Thank you for your review. We have recently changed our linen supplier to a more local supplier. As a local supplier this not only gives us better quality but also ensure that we move closer to our aim of being carbon neutral. I am sorry if you found that the restaurant team annoying with their customer follow up and assure...

The weather helped. This Holiday Inn overlooks the West Pier (our 'deluxe' room did not - it overlooked surrounding buildings). The room rate was a rip-off and the car parking - expect to pay an additional £25 per day to park underneath the hotel in poorly marked bays that aren't really big enough for modern cars (hence many cars were... more

Thank you for your feedback but I am honestly unsure if you have the correct hotel. Reason for this is that we do not have deluxe rooms and our parking is not £25 per night.

I was really disappointed by this hotel. In the end we were forced to pay an additional £25 per night to get a better room. The rooms are supposed to be refurbished but are very poor. I would rate this lower than a Holiday Inn Express by far. The beds / pillows were hard, towels looked grubby, loo roll was... more

Thank you for your review. I am sorry if you felt the rooms are poor but with limited description it is difficult to investigate. Beds were all replaced within the hotel during 2007/2008 and are standard throughout all Holiday Inn and Express hotels. We have recently changed our linen supplier to a more local supplier. As a local supplier this...

Our son and new daughter in law had their wedding reception at Holiday-Inn on Friday 28th August, 2009. From the moment we arrived the staff were courteous, helpful and very friendly. The wedding party was made up of all ages from babes in arms to elderly grandparents in wheelchairs and all were catered for exceptionally well. The food was fantastic... more

Thank you ever so much for your review. Both Bridget and Jason in particular as well as all those concerned in running the event we delighted to read this. Weddings are such an important day that we strive to make them fautless. Thank you once again

We stayed for 3 nights on a family break. As this was the first time we had travelled for more than 1 night in a hotel with our young son we booked a dinner bed and breakfast package. If you intend to have breakfast or dinner in the hotel, you should do this as the inclusive price is much better!... more
