I can honestly say that our stay in Drakes was more perfect and magical than we could ever have imagined! We booked a Circular Sea-Facing Kingsize Room which was fantastic and had everything and more we would need – totally luxurious and amazingly comfortable. Sitting in the huge bath looking out to sea whilst sipping on champagne isn’t something we’ll... more

Booked following a puff in the London Evening Standard back in January. Misled by a fabulous looking picture of a bath set in the bay of the room with view out over the sea. There is one room like that and that is what I thought we were booking when I rang but in fact we got a similar room... more

My boyfriend booked this hotel for us on Valentines day. We stayed in the circle room, a room at the front of the hotel right at the top. If staying here I would recommend this room, it was fabulous. Spacious, huge bed, bathtub against window (which for the occasion was filled with bubblebath and rose petals), very stylish and clean.... more

We stayed at Drakes for a mid week Easter break, just really to have a few days in Brighton enjoying the shops and restaurants. The hotel was fairly booked up so there wasn't a selection of room types to choose from so we ended up with the 'cheapest' room at the back of the hotel. We didn't arrange parking but... more

I've got nothing to do with the hotel and have never written a review before but fairs fair, this hotel deserves a big pat on the back. This is the second time I've stayed here. We turned up this time at the last minute and hoped for the best, thankfully they had an attic room left. It was perfect, more... more

We stayed at this hotel for one night in May 2008. Our room was on the first floor facing the seafront. The room was very nicely decorated and thought out, the bed was huge. The television was on the wall next to the bed and had plenty of available channels to watch. The room had a telescope which worked very... more

Unfortunately our stay here was disappointing. Whilst the staff were friendly and helpful, and the bar was good with great cocktails, the room was really poor. Apart from the fact that the room was very small, it was far from clean. The carpet was badly stained, there were biscuit crumbs on one of the bedside tables, and the room was... more

We have stayed at this hotel twice . The first time that we booked we stayed in attic room which although tiny and without much hanging space had a great view of the sea. This weekend my wife and i opted for a different room costing around £175.00 per night which we thought would give us more room and hopefully... more

We booked Drakes as a last minute getaway, on the basis of website, guide book reviews and reputation. We wanted somewhere grown up, sybaritic and un-corporate. We arrived in a howling gale and spent the first night of our three night stay trying to keep warm in the draughts of our "superior" room at the front of the hotel, accompanied... more
