I Stayed at the Oriental over the new year eve period with some friends. This hotel is simply lovely, the decor and the atmosphere are as charming as the owners. The room I stayed in was bijou and compact but had everything I needed. The best part of the stay was without a doubt the organic breakfast which was by... more

We stayed at the hotel on two occasions now and I would strongly recommand it for a real Brighton experience. We loved the funky bar and had delicious cocktails there and if you are lucky enough to meet the owners they'll put some drinks on the house! The all experience was fantastic. Very chilled out and competent staff that can... more

We decided to spend new year with friends in brighton and thought we would try a B&B near the water front. What a great little hotel, the owners are so friendly and the rooms give you exactly what you need. The Breakfast is simply amazing and totally organic which is very rare. I would totally recommend this little hotel to... more

A real gem in Brighton. Stayed for two nights and really felt at home. Decor great, very clean and the owners very friendly. Chilled out atmosphere. Location just off the seafront, perfect for walking off the delicious breakfast. Will definitely be back. more

I was really dissapointed and I felt quite ripped off having paid £80+ for a night in a 'boutique' hotel. Our room was tiny - and the shower was horrible. I felt conned. The up-side was the breakfast - which was nice, but still not worth the price we paid. more

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights in Sep 2007, to attend a wedding reception nearby. The hotel is well placed for walking to Hove and Brighton centres. Our room was small but nice, but the bathroom was disappointing. Not only was it so small the wash basin had to be on the far side of the bedroom... more

We stayed here for one night on the way across the channel from Newhaven and loved the hotel. Our room was very small but quite beautiful with delightful, crisp, white cotton bedlinen which is much appreciated after the usual nylon flowered nasty you normally get in a hotel. Had we been staying more than one night, I would have asked... more

As a former BBC World Service correspondent I have stayed in many hotels of different levels. I can honestly say that this was surprisingly good, and by far and above my favourite? Why is this? * It's really unusual - sort of comtemporary but with a retro twist. the foyer has rather plush velvety seats, mosaic tables and a groovy... more

If you are happy to stay in a room with a double bed, squeezed into a single room, then Room 5 is for you. We, I have to say were not. The room is so small and with two people in it, very difficult to manouvre. The walk in shower is lovely but only houses the toilet. The sink is... more

Small boutique hotel - with great fun friendly staff and owner. Fab location right by the sea and night life but quiet street -so can get some zzzzz... Gorgeous slightly wacky breakfast/bar area for chilling with the papers in the morning over a really good breafast and also enjoying a cocktail in the evening :) Also lots of lovely local... more
