I stayed at this hotel for three nights after booking the reservation online. Although the room's quality was way below advertised and we had problems getting hot water, we did not care very much because we were not spending many hours at the hotel. The real problem has come afterwards, when I have received for the second time an unjistified... more

Me and my husband stayed in this hotel with a couple of friends and were discusted by what we found. The rooms were tiny, water that came out of the shower was smelly, the staff could barely speak any english and the whole experience ruined our weekend. more

When we arrived at the hotel it was very poorly decorated and very old and damp, however the staff were friendly but did not speak a word of english, when we got up to our bedroom it was nothing like what we expected from the website. The room was small and dark. The shower only ran cold water so to... more

Do not book this!!!!!!!!This is by far the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. Booked a “Superior” Double Room through laterooms.com. Upon entering the Hotel my partner and I were met with heavily stained filthy carpets. We were then given the key to room 7 which was on the second floor. The room was tiny, poorly decorated and smelt... more

Myself and my partner would like to thank James at The Regency for a lovely 2 night stay. Very nice, friendly owner who we could have chatted to for hours about the history of the place. Clean, tidy, comfortable hotel in a fab location where we were able to really make ourselves at home. Tasty breakfast, if not a bit... more

Completely agree with the previous review - we stayed in room 9 too - this was supposed to be a romantic break but the naff old yellow stained carpet quoshed any romance in us! The bedthrow match the carpet with another lovely stain and, yes, the toilet was still leaking. don't stay here. more

We stayed here for what was meant to be a romantic weekend away so we booked the beautifully described room 9 with sea views and a four-poster bed. The hotel itself really is just a cheap B &B but with hotel prices. The downstairs feels like something out of the 1960's. The carpet is worn and some of the light... more

Stayed here for the weekend (min stay is 2 nights at the weekend) . The hotel is ready for a renovation . The red carpet that is all over the hallways and stairs, is very worn and needs to be replaced . Our room (number 10) was very small , had a nice view, but the wooden window frame was... more

Had a lovely one night stay here for a night out in Brighton. Perfect location- road full of restaurants just around the corner and a small walk in to town. Really friendly owner and delicious breaksfast. Room small but fantastic sea view and nice and clean. Will definately be back. more
