My wife Rosemarie is unfortunately a stroke victim with very special needs and requirements. She cannot walk or talk. I started on the internet but had to conclude on the phone to ensure we could be catered for. The whole experience from this point was splendid. The man I talked to couldn't do enough for us and we had a... more

We stayed at the Princes Marine Hotel for a weekend break so that we wouldn't have to get the last train home from Brighton after a few beers, for a change. Unfortunately I hadn't realised quite how far from the centre of the city it is. It is a good 35-40 minute walk (and I'm quite fit) along the sea... more

We stayed for one night at this sea front hotel at Hove. Dodgy start as we waited over 5 mins for reception staff to appear but then things got better. Our room was huge, sea view was stunning, plenty of tea/coffee/milk(although milk was off) and flat screen tele. with freeview. The weather was awful so our shopping trip was abandoned... more

This hotel is located just into Hove on the seafront. The reception is a little uninspiring but the welcome was friendly. The corridors between the rooms are very well kept and have striking blue patterned carpets however the room I was given was a letdown. The carpet was green and floral, very 1970s and had been joined together in a... more

We travelled on business & booked through LateRooms (so we got a good rate). The decor was dated and the hotel wasn't much to look at from the outside - but the room was spacious, clean & had all that was required for an overnight stay. We had a room overlooking the beach which was a nice suprise. We ate... more

I stayed one night at this hotel with business colleagues. It has a number of good points. The location is excellent for Hove though a little way from the centre of Brighton. It's more or less on the seafront and there is free (though limited) parking. My room was fairly large, well-appointed and clean, with tea and coffee making facilities,... more

I was a bit concerned as to what I would find after the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. my room (double for single occupation) was very large and clean and bed comfy. SO much better than the pathetic rooms I have stayed in at the Hilton which are shabby, in need of renov. and very small. And the hilton is... more

Location: In Hove- 25-30 minutes walk from Brighton centre. Taxi to Busstation GBP10. Have no problem walking. Room: Large compared to many other hotels in UK. Very outdated, old smelly carpets. My bathroom was dirty and full of long black hairs(I am bald so they did not come from my head*LOL'). Most scary was the lamps above my bed -... more

I booked a sea view room for a one night stay on business. Cost £65 including breakfast. The hotel reception is "homely" and, as with much of the Princes Marine, needs updating. Dark carpets and dark brown veneer dominate every part of the hotel - except the restaurant - and this does the place no favours. My room was large... more

Best Western's Princes Marine, actually down the beachfront in Hove, not Brighton, was a pleasant surprise. We learned that the bulk of the traffic to this beach area is actually business people at conferences. Due to this the rooms are large (by British standards), the wireless internet is free (at least at the moment) and the food in the less-than-promising... more
