Apart from not being bitten, I would second everything in another recent negative review, which I have just read. I was expecting much more for the money. The hotel has had the walls re-decorated, that's about it. Mainly very warn out though, the bed side lamps hadn't had their bases dusted, the curtains weren't fixed, the curtain tie hooks fell... more

This was my 3rd stay at the Queens. I have also at various times stayed at The Grand, The Ship, The Thistle, Holiday Inn, Best Western and Kings. I like The Grand and The Thistle but they can be very expensive with very variable rooms. What Queens has to offer is reliable and consistent. Spacious clean rooms, good breakfast, fantastic... more

The queens hotel was in a great location. Right near to the pier and the lanes for shops and restaurants. However the hotel was average for the money. We got the room on the internet for 75 pounds instead of 150 pounds per night. I didn't mind paying 75 for what we got but I would have been very annoyed... more

I travel for a living, and this had to have been one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Stayed in Room 418 with two teenagers, and it sounded like there was a New Year's Eve party going on inside our room. We couldn't shut the window because there is no air-conditioning or fan, and we would have sweltered without... more

We have been to Brighton many times before but this is the best place we've stayed in in terms of location. We got a great pre-paid deal, but the noise of the night clubs at the back is ridiculous - not the hotel's fault of course, but it would be nice if they supplied complementary ear plugs. We had to... more

Do not be deterred by some poor reviews, my daughter and I had a great time. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a beautiful, sea-view room with a massive bay window. The cocktail bar serves excellent cocktails (two for £6 midweek) and has friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent. The only negatives were that the road outside was a... more

I stayed here with a work do, but not a corporate function. We rode from London to Brighton for charity and people who wanted to stay could. We were booked into 15 double bedrooms at the hotel. All on different floors. I was on the first flow in a double room, which had a double and single bed. All the... more

The Queens Hotel in Brighton is in a charming old building, directly at the waterfront. After arrival we received a warm welcome from the friendly and professional staff - as we mentioned that we are having our anniversary they even upgraded us (without requesting!) to a tower suite - what a nice surprise! From our room we overlooked Brighton Beach,... more

I had a room at the side of the hotel (which faced a pub and a lapdancing club!) I couldnt have the windows open at night because the noise from the revellers outside started about midnight and went on till 4a.m (kept you awake even with the windows shut) Swimming pool was ok, if not a little dingily lit and... more

We stayed for 2 nights at the Queens Hotel. Our room was completely spotless with a great view of the sea. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large and more than adequate for 2 people. Tea and coffee facilities were provided, as was room service. The hotel is in an ideal position about 3 minutes walk from Brighton Pier.... more
