Got an amazing deal from Red magazine - dinner, bed and breakfast for £99 for two people. Loved the bar area - very stylish but cosy with excellent cocktails. The bistro is also lovely, with fab French food - yummy coq au vin! Room was small but with a chic bathroom and lovely bed linen. Fab location too - only... more

This is a lovely hotel, big cosy bar, great restaurant and lovely rooms. Just a point to bear in mind the rooms that look like beach huts are outside and so don't feel like part of the hotel, they would also be a nightmare in the rain, snow etc getting from the room to the hotel. more

great place... booked a room to stay with my girlfriend for two days for her birthday. Amazing treatment from the staff - couldn't be more helpful. the room decor, comfort & ambience great ... superb if a little too rich before a romantic night food & wine .. late night walk along the beach watching crashing waves and soaring seagulls.... more

£185 per night and what we had looked like a travelodge room. I really couldnt tell the difference frankly! We booked a king sized room - but still couldnt open the wardrobe fully in it, but an oversized bathroom. My sister had a slightly smaller room at £165 and she cant remember how many times her husband hit his legs... more

This hotel does much that is right, but the little touches (and the very large bill) count against it. First impressions always matter and it wasn't the hotel's fault that the road was closed at one end, but that made it necessary to turn the car round in a road just wider than the car was long. No mention of... more

We basically enjoyed our stay at the HdV and would agree it's a reasonable place to base yourselves to explore Brighton. I would agree with the previous reviewer that it's better not to have a car while there as you won't need it. We ended our car rental in Brighton and the train upto Victoria is fast and frequent. Brighton... more

Very charming and unique hotel, tastefully decorated. Definitely a great place to stay in Brighton. Unless you really need a car, skip it, because the location of the hotel is perfect – in the Lanes, few steps from the waterfront. Parking in this part of the city might be a headache. The rooms don’t have good sound isolation, maybe because... more

Stayed 1 night at Hotel Du Vin, and booked into Adur room. Lovely room tucked away along a little external balcony and away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets. Bed linen excellent, towels very nice etc. Got this room for £120 on a late discount site. Checked in and they preauthorised £170 on my card. What for... more

Hotel du Vin, brighton is a lovely hotel with on the whole excellent service. There is a feeling of calm and tranquility which is so good compared to some of the other, bigger hotels in Brighton i've stayed in! The bed was so comfy with crisp cotton sheets and plump pillows. Wonderful bathroom - felt so luxurious with bath robes... more
