This hotel is located in New Steine, which is almost directly opposite the pier, so perfectly placed for day or night. When we checked in we had to rush and dump the bags as you have to buy parking ticket and park elsewhere. Luckily we were able to find a space nearby. Parking is £5 per 24 hours if you... more

We stayed at the Ambassodors on Saturday night when we needed to book at the last minute. I think average is a fair reflections of this hotel. It was well located with a good breakfast on offer. The room we had (35) has a bay window and if you stood there you could see the sea and Brighton Pier (as... more

I am afraid we have to agree with most of the other reviewers, decor seen better days, breakfast ok but not special. Service was good but the price should have delivered more. Better places exist for vegetarians to stay in Brighton for less. Would have liked to have been more positive! Did like the location though. more

Sub standard hotel in all areas. Not 4 star by any means. Money up front on arrival. So not worth complaining. You wont get it back when you decide to leave early due to poor service. So dont even go there.!!!!! I think the other reviews on this site speak for themselves. I should have checked it out prior. Stayed... more

We stayed in a family room with our 5 year old daughter. The beds were good and the room a reasonable size. We had an oblique view of the end of the Pier - a nice view for the morning. The underlying decor has the appearance of being rather dated, but it clearly has been repainted recently and close inspection... more

Most hotels are seriously overstated and priced in this city. We chose the Ambassador because it was most reasonably priced. It was OK if you are on a budget like us. We have stayed previously in a super room.. However on this occassion not so good. The room was dated, faded and reaked of tobacco. It was just acceptable. The... more

Well we arrived with no place to stay as the previous hotel had 'lost' our booking. Anyway, this one was close by and in a great location so thought it was worth a try. But a great location and nice friendly staff are all it has going for it really. I'm sure it was a lovely hotel in 1979, but... more

I stayed here for two nights on August bank holiday weekend. The location of the hotel is excellent, very central and close to the pier, and it and all of the other hotels in the area had No Vacancies signs up each night, so I can't complain about the price. Check-in was efficient, and the barman was nice & friendly... more

This hotel is on New Steine in the Kemptown area of Brighton. It is located in a townhouse on this rather nice square directly on the sea front. This hotel has great potential, as can be seen by other hotels in the area. The problem is, however, that the Ambassador hasn't realised its potential. In fact, it hasn't been decorated... more

Excellent placed hotel just minutes walk from the sea and main pier. The hosts are very friendly and the breakfast are really lovely, with bulk of the food used being produced locally. Suited our needs totally. more
