This is a perfect place to stay on a weekend break or week's break in Brighton. A brilliant location in the centre of town, just a 2 minute walk to the seafront but quiet enough to relax and be away from the noise. The entire property is immaculate - clean, fresh and well kept. We stayed in the Audrey Hepburn... more

Stayed here on the 28th of jan for 2 nights. I stayed in the john wayne room pictured. It was a quaint little room! Positives: Good location, can see the sea as soon as you leave the B&B. Everywhere is in walkable distance, especially the Pavillion. Comfy Bed, 2 pillows. Nice small bathroom. Good shower. Very clean, immaculate almost! no... more

I stayed with my 13 year old daughter in the Judy Garland room. The double bed was really comfy (even though I was sharing it with a fidgety teenager), the pillows were rather hard but they weren't paper thin like in many hotels and we had 2 each. The room was a comfortable temperature all night and the heavy curtains... more

Stayed for 2 nights in early January. Room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Excellent value for money. I would unhesitatingly recommend Colson House. more

The screen icons theme works really well - very nicely done. My room was immaculate and comfortable with an understated color scheme that I really like. The location can't be beat and the owners, Mark and Eamon, are terrific - very witty, friendly, helpful and interesting guys. And, last but not least from someone with a fear of being dripped... more

After seeing the website, I was so excited about staying at Colson House and it lived up to and exceeded expectations! From the moment we walked through the door, my boyfriend and I were made to feel like old friends rather than guests, Mark was so welcoming. We stayed in the Humphrey Bogart room which was fantastic for our needs,... more

Everything you could want from a B & B. Eamon could not have been more helpful. Cary Grant room was excellent, as was the breakfast. Wonderful location. more

We had a lovely weekend at Colson House, based largely on the favourable reviews on this site. It's situated in Kemp Town, which is a brilliant location, away from the madness of central Brighton but only a short walk away from it. As everyone says, the owners Eamon and Mark are terrific. A warm welcome, help with parking permits, discussions... more

Myself and a couple of others stayed Colson House the Beginning of Aug. This is the 2nd time we have stayed and again it was Top Notch. The Rooms are all themed and i again chose the Judy Garland which is a large double room at the front of the house. The rooms are all spotlessly clean and come with... more

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in the Bette Davis room which was clean, well equiped and had it's own veranda. The road was quiet at night and we were able to park outside the hotel with a permit for £5 each 24 hours. Eamon and Mark made us very welcome and gave us good advice on restaurants. Excellent... more
