We have stayed for bonfire night in room 6. It was really good choice as this B&B met all our expectations. - Really great location - 300m from the sea, few minutes from the town centre. - Very well equipped rooms with Flat Screen TV, IPod Station, DVD - Rooms very clean - one of the cleanest we ever seen... more

I stayed at the hotel for 4 days and loved it; the rooms are nicely furnished, the location is great - just 2 minutes from the sea and 5 minutes from the city centre shops and the breakfasts are really good, ranging from healthy to tempting. The owners are super helpful and make your stay a very pleasant one; recomended. more

It was the second time we visited the Five Hotel and we were as satisfied as in 2007. The hotel is very well located. It just takes a step to get to the seafront and the centre is also pretty easy to reach. The hotel owners Caroline and Simon made us feel home the minute we arrived and if you... more

My niece and I had a hearty welcome in this unusual bed&breakfast in the center of Brighton. Nice room with modern furniture and facilities. Breakfast around a large table with all the other guests. Good food, full English breakfast, homebaked muffins, fruit, fresh juice, jam and, and, and...Very nice people who gave us a lot of useful information about the... more

I have been staying at Five Hotel over the last 3 years. I am an architect and travel to Brighton frequently for work and pleasure, each time returning to Five Hotel, it simply achieves the perfect balance of relaxation and comfort with simple contemporary styling. The proprietors are genuinely lovely people and provide a great breakfast around a communal table... more

The owners were absolutely lovely and could't have been sweeter, but we booked a ''superior room'' (??) and could barely moved in it. My husband could just about close the door when sat on the toilet and we didn't even get clean towels - it was so small. The bed was so uncomfortable we couldn't sleep and whilst we tried... more

Management response from
symes-five, owner

We welcome comments and suggestions however we are devastated ,hurt and mystified by these remarks. They never voiced any concerns and appeared very happy on departure. We can only assume, as they live in Dubai that they are used to larger airconditioned marble floored rooms. , (maybe why the carpet hurt ). We are a georgian listed townhouse and the...

We are almost 70, booked and paid 6 months ahead. The room was small immaculately clean and comfortable. The bathroom was tiny, but we aren't very big. The greeting was warm. Our bags were carried up to our room, we didn't ask. Our view over the park was lovely, the sea was visible. Almost everything was within walking distance. The... more
