We had a 2 night stay in the Imperial Double. Room was quite small, but good for the (very competitive) price. It was well equipped and we used the DVD player and fridge! Breakfast was amazing; good size, lots of extra coffee and more food if you could manage it! Parking was hassle free, but only because we got a... More

We recently stayed for two nights at Avalon. We had a very pleasant stay. We occupied the front bedroom that had a view of the sea. The room was very well equipped with everything we needed, even a DVD player! We could borrow DVDs to play from a selection of hundreds if we wished. The bed was warm and comfortable.... More

A group of my friends recently stayed at the Avalon and had a wonderful time. We were treated very well indeed and the service was hospitable and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble from specific dietary requests to getting us taxis and looking up train times. Brian, Tom and George were mine hosts extrordinaire and a good time was had... More

Four of us were in Brighton for a meeting and stayed in this little, but very friendly place. Rooms were clean, comfortable with all amenities, nicely decorated and even come with resident Teddy-bears. The location is excellent and the staff are very helpful. It is very good value for money and very nice breakfast too. Had a really enjoyable time... More

Myself and my partner have just arrived back from a weekend away in Brighton. We chose to stay at the Avalon after hours of scrolling the internet for a Guest house we thought would meet all of our needs and expectations. The Avalon by far exceeded anything we were expecting and i would certainly highly recommend anyone looking at staying... More

This place is an absolute little gem. Brian, Tom and George make you feel like an old friend from the moment you step through their doors and they are never in too much of a hurry to stop for a quick chat during your stay. We stayed in the Kingsize room, which was tastefully decorated yet still cosy. The bed... More

We're just back from a 3 day break in Brighton, and it does ROCK. We found The Avalon very easily and due to its location, is within easy reach of most major attractions in Brighton. Kemptown is a right quirky area of Brighton with lots of small individual shops, bars and restaraunts around it. Brian, Tom and George run a... More

The Avalon was perfect! We could not have asked for a more welcoming, friendly or well-kept place for our short trip to Brighton. The room was extremely comfortable and was lovely and clean. The breakfast was delicious and they catered the food to exactly what you wanted and any dietary needs. The location suited us perfectly as it was a... More

I'd like to recommend Avalon due to the high level of personal care, without being intrusive. From initial contact, customer care is of the highest standard, and tailored to your individual requirements. As a former customer service manager, I pay specific attention to this. Especially pleasing are the touches that make Avalon a home from home - soft music playing... More

After reviewing various dog-friendly places to stay in/around Brighton, we (husband, wife, 15 year old son and 12 year old daughter and cockapoo Archie!) decided on the Avalon for 2 nights and were very pleased indeed with our choice. Owners Brian and Tom were very friendly and welcoming on our arrival (parking permit arranged for a small cost) and then... More
