My partner was doing the London to Brighton bike ride, so I booked this hotel as a surprise based on reviews here and I couldn't have been more pleased when we arrived. Both Chris and Keiran (the owners) made our stay so welcoming, I had asked if they could arrange for a bottle of champagne for when we arrived which... more

After our first day of driving on the left hand side of the road, circling endlessly on round abouts, and getting lost numerous times, we arrived in Brighton to find no parking on the tiny street in front of the Griffin. My partner stayed in the car and I went inside to ask where we could find a parking place.... more

I was getting married in Brighton and stayed here the night before the wedding( having previously stayed there). The room was lovely, breakfast was great and the location is great. The owners were so helpful whilst I was getting ready and very friendly. Overall a fantastic stay! more

For a break in Brighton this guest house is perfect. Reasonably priced and a short walk from the sea, lanes, centre etc. Made to feel very welcome, wonderful hosts. Nice touches in the room – free Cadbury’s flake! And no hidden extras. Free tea’s coffees and biscuits. Lovely roof terrace at the rear. Would definitely return. more

I booked The Griffin Guest House on the basis of the glowing comments it has from other Tripadvisor travellers. It's all true. I stayed from Tuesday through to Friday while in Brighton attending a conference. From the moment of arrival Chris and Kieran were brilliant - welcoming, knowledgeable about the local area, and very good at running the Griffin. My... more

Kieran Chris and Mark are clearly naturals at this business. Having lived in Brighton I've had many a visitor stay in some questionable hotels and guesthouses so we really lucked out with this place. From the moment you arrive they are there to help including finding us parking and sorting us out with a permit which is normally impossible in... more

We went for a weekend break and it was lovely, the room was nice, clean fresh towels, fair selection of food at breakfast. Very friendly staff who made the extra effort to give advice about the resort. A bottle of Champers was given to one of our party for a special occasion which was a nice surprise. Nothing was too... more

We stayed at the Griffin for one night while attending a concert in Brighton. We found the Griffin on this website and it exceeded our high expectations. From the moment we arrived to a very warm welcome and help finding somewhere to park the car which cost £5 for 24 hours (a bargain !!) we knew that we were going... more

The Service we experienced at The Griffin was fantastic. We wanted an upgrade before arriving but unfortunately for us there were not any cancellatiions however our Standard room was still great and clean. We go to Brighton every year and this is by far the best place we have stayed. The Service is informal and welcoming and breakfast is really... more
