Just what my wife and I needed after a long flight from Australia! Our hosts, Michael and Ann, were extremely sympathetic and and considerate, giving us immediate access to our room in the early afternoon and ensuring that everything was fine for our stay. The room was spacious with a large en-suite bathroom, a sit-out balcony and very comfortable four... more

We are regular visitors to the Rise having followed the owners Ann and Michael from Eastbourne where they owned a nice hotel to Rye in this delightful B&B. We always book the same room (the one with a four-poster bed and balcony). The room is furnished to a high standard and spotlessly clean. Besides the owners are absolutely lovely and... more

Apparently, already troubled that on this morning I came to breakfast late... more

Very attractive 1920's Rye House, with a large well tended garden, overlooking open countryside, with the sea in the distance. Our room was well appointed, serviced to a high standard and enjoyed the luxury of a good sized balcony. Many helpful notes were placed around the room. We felt the owners, justly proud of their property, were just a little... more

We stayed here recently for a pre-valentines weekend away. The Rise is a fantastic choice if you're exploring Rye or I suppose anywhere in the region. The owners, Ann and Michael if I recall correctly, were so pleasant and helpful (both with making reservations for dinner before arriving, and giving tips while we were there). The room is well equipped,... more
