Had a lovely two night stay. The room was lovely, the welcome was warm, the breakfast was tasty and the evening menu is inventive and well made. Dexter is quite the character and, despite being the size of a small horse, couldn't be gentler. Heartily recommended. more

Had 3 nights at this friendly pub in nice part of Kent. Service very pleasant. Very good breakfast with an A+ for the coffe. Evening menu not bad either. Room was a nice size. Matress was a bit lumpy though and only one not very good size towel per person (was changed every day). Would stay there again despite that. more

Stayed for 3 nights at the end of June. The accommodation is set in a converted stable block in the pub garden. It is clean and comfortable and excellent value. It was great to be able to sit outside the room in the garden with a pint from the pub. Had one meal at the pub and that was good.... more

The bell at Iden is a country inn, in a small village. The whole village gets poor mobile phone signals, and signals for freeview are often lost when there is a storm between us and transmitter near Maidstone. Although we have a proffesional signal splitter and booster, It is a problem that we learn to live with in the country.

What a lovely place. We stayed overnight while visiting Sussex. My wife has a phobia of dogs but once she met dexter she thought he was lovely. Dexter is the resident hound and adds character to the pub. The staff were so friendly and done everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. We had a drink in the bar... more

The Bell Inn is a lovely country pub full of charm. The joint proprietor Amy is very hard working and cannot do enough to help customers. The accommodation is first class in a converted stable 25 yards from the actual pub. The rooms are of a very high standard, immaculate, spotlessly clean and full of all mod con's and even... more

We found The Bell at Iden to be a very friendly country pub with very good B&B facilities. These consisted of a coverted barn in the pub grounds. The pub grub was of a very high standard. Within a couple of miles from Rye this made a great base to explore this quaint town. We will certainly stay there again... more

We visited this delightful country pub, and found it to be truly fabulous. The food, the fire the drink and most of all the people. If you want somewhere off the beaten path then this place is a must, The rooms are quaint and stylish (if thats possibe), spotlessly clean and welcoming. The staff were extremely welcoming and made sure... more

If you want 5 star service at a reasonable price please detour several miles to stay at the Bell. My stay was brief but you can be sure this is not my last visit and I have already placed this on my business newsletter list for my clients who would be rather foolish not to check out the hospitality and... more

We stayed for one night and wished we could have stayed longer - lovely and clean - new heaters in rooms, bathrooms spotless. We were made so welcome, had a super meal, all freshly made and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing beside the log burner sitting on the comfy leather chairs. Hospitality, friendliness excellent - we will be back! Thanks again. more
