Pretty house, good food and timid service. The general manager and most other staff seemed to scared to talk to anyone outloud, having been asked if everything was ok whilst the waitress was wringing her hands and at a volume hardly audible to humans, It is impossible to answer at anything above a whisper, this makes for a dining room... more

We stayed for 3 nights bed and breakfast during October 2008. We booked from the brochure which gave us the impression that our bedroom would be one of the old worlde style in the old house. Loved every minute at this hotel. Would love to go back for a special occasion as only 2.5 hour drive from London. The Dial House Hotel is a beautiful building in a lovely quaint town.
