I am a Travelodge “regular” but my stay here made me consider whether I need to start looking further afield. I don’t know whether this is a sign of a general decline in Travelodge standards, but this hotel has recently introduced a £5 per might parking charge, via one of those third party parking agencies we all hate. It wouldn’t... more

Arrived on 03/10/09 and check in is from 3pm and checked out on 04/10/09 and check out is 12pm. was in room 220 on the second floor and had a view that was so bad it was just funny, looked over the roof of the hotel with ventilation systems and part of a big roundabout. Could hear noise from the... more

We like Travelodge. No, really, we do. Generally speaking, they're reasonably priced and provide a clean and comfortable place to spend a night. This is the second time we've stayed overnight at the Cheltenham 'lodge, and the first time we've been disappointed with any of the chain's hotels. We stayed in room 305, which Daphne thinks is too small, but... more

There is little to cmmend this place for apart from the low price. The rooms are pokey, there are multiple instances of shoddy decoor (chipped shower cubiccle, chips out of the walls, poster glue in the lifts where something had been stuck...) The staff are friendly, but working with limited resources. I askked for an iron and ironing board, bt... more

Located about 3 miles outside the centre of Cheltenham next to a busy roundabout. The rooms were clean and typcial travelodge. It was difficult to flush the toilet and the shower had warm rather than hot water. Car park is £5 but located right outside. There was a fair amount of road noise in the room. There is both KFC... more

I arrived at the hotel after a long drive to be confronted with the nasty shock that the car parking would be £5 extra. This is a completely unreasonable charge and only confirms by belief that Travelodge simply do not think about their customers. I've never had to pay for car parking at a hotel and I can't see any... more

I have stayed with Travelodge before and know it is a budget hotel but the greeting was cursory and the room was dirty. On turning back the duvet the bottom sheet was stained and looked as if it had been folded whilst still damp and had a mould. Why anyone even put it on the bed when they saw the... more

Not particularly cheap, this relatively new hotel was awful. The room was small, smelled of the KFC next door and the tiny double bed had a cheap mattress which meant my wife and I kept rolling to the centre. The shower tray and walls had mould and we had to pay for parking; a first for me throughout the world!... more

Stayed 2 nights, using special offer deal, as part of a low cost break. Will think again on how to keep to a budget. The location of the hotel by a major road intersection and roundabout means rooms on the 'backside' of the L shaped building get constant road noise. We were allocated a room facing the car park. The... more

Tired hotel, not especially well cleaned. Reception staff good. Parking free for 3 hours but £5 for longer (so 5 per night unless you want to get up every 3 hours). Has a Harvester restaurant and bar at ground level under one half of hotel and KFC next door. Were woken at 6am by delivery to Harvester under our window... more
