I stayed two different times during the month, so I was able to see a couple of different rooms. It's a nice bit of a change from the chain hotels where all the rooms are generally uniform, but it does lead to a bit of unpredictability and people in different parts of the inn could have a different experience. During... more

We had spent four wonderful nights at a B&B in Norwich, so a boutique hotel in Cheltenham sounded attractive, what a mistake. I phoned to say that we might be late arriving because we'd had a bit of a nightmare journey, didn't seem to be a problem. Arrived, and no offer to carry our bags, different person on reception, so... more

The Townhouse is an excellent guesthouse, right in the centre of Cheltenham. The room was spaceous and beautifully decorated, definately 5* and much better than the majority of B&B's this country has to offer. Great shower room, breakfast, bed. I wont hesitate to stay there again or to recommend to friends for business or leisure travel. more

A rather impressive restored Regency town house in a quiet, leafy street 7 minutes walk from the centre of Cheltenham. Lovely large reception areas, wow-factor art and an honesty bar. We were downstairs in the basement level, in an Executive Double that is sold as a good value budget room. It is! The basement room was large enough for comfort,... more

We arrived to a lovely welcome and the room was both clean and stylish with a comfy bed. Especially delighted to discover no extra charge for parking or for broadband. The breakfast was enough to persuade me back time and time again. In short the place is fantastic. more

I stayed in this hotel for one night on Business. I found staff abrupt and unhelpful to say the least. When we arrived receptionist was on her mobile phone, and did not get off straight away despite it seeming to be a personal call i.e. laughing etc, (although spoke in foreign lnguage so cant say for sure). Was quite abrupt... more

We arrived (6 of us) and were greeted by an unfriendly receptionist and we struggled to understand her English. We were given 3 keys and went to check the rooms. 2 out of 3 rooms had no door on the bathroom but we just went with it and unpacked. We were put in room 56 at the back of the... more

Stayed here as was attending a friend's wedding at nearby Pitville Pump Room. Car parking is around the back of the building, which can't be accessed from the front by car - best to let staff give you directions. We arrived late in the evening and check in was quick. We were put in a room on the lower ground... more

I stayed here earlier this month with my friend. Another one of my friends and her husband had also booked a room but had checked in the night before, they were shown to a room upstairs which ended up being tiny and no heating so was freezing! they were moved down stairs to a much better room! but this had... more

After following advice on T Advisor, we booked a room on the 27th September. Staff were friendly (But not to the point of being over enthusiastic) and the room was great. The decor was bright and cheerful, and the bed was super big and a little too comfortable. An added bonus was the TV/DVD, with a library of semi-recent films... more
