I haven't stayed yet - will be on 15th Feb for 2 nights via buyagift voucher. When I phoned for booking the person I spoke to was lovely about it. I told them straight away I had a voucher and was told that they would not be sure about availability. However I had looked at restrictions on site about not... More

We have stayed in many areas of the Cotswolds, usually in cottages, but this was a gift via Freshweekends.com and we chose to stay in Painswick at the Cardynham House hotel. We were given a Grade 2 room - the Palm Beach - which was lovely, light and airy with a great (and comfortable) four poster bed - not kingsize... More

Tried to book a 2 night break at this Guest House for the end of April after finding they had availability. Was told I should have told them I was a Buyagift voucher holder and was then refused the booking with the consolation I could try 8 days before my intended trip. Why has this Guest House signed up with... More

Please refer to our response to the other comment regarding this particular type of Buyagift voucher. This review should be referenced to Buyagift and not to us as we have acted in accordance with our agreement with them. The reviewer appears to claim that they stayed with us in January. It looks from the review that this was not the... More

Just back from a two night at this great hotel (bandB). The proprietor John was most welcoming and had thought of everything to ensure guests had a great stay. Excellent breakfast, which you order the night before, cooked to perfection. Unfortunately the bistro was not open for evening meals as the staff were on holiday, but we had an excellent... More

Tried to book a two night break for February,2012. All ok until I mentioned I had a Buyagift voucher. Their attitude changed. I felt that I was spoken to like a second class citizen. They made excuses not to accept the voucher, one reason being that a booking cannot be accetped more than eight days in advance of booking. This... More

This review has no place here at all as the reviewer did not stay with us.. The reviewer claims in the review to have stayed with us in January but this simply was not the case and is not truthful. The BUYAGIFT voucher is a promotional voucher offer 2 nights for 1 valid until April and our listing on the... More

We liked the bed and the fantastic old building. Very warm and friendly. Couldn't finish the monster omelette for breakfast (her) and was a bit underwhelmed by the very average English breakfast (him). Good for four-poster bed aficionados. More

Stayed here a couple of nights on business - and what a beautiful location to stay in. Arrived rather later than I should have on the first night - but the owners kindly asked the night staff to greet me on arrival - as I hadn't read the small-print about arriving prior to 10pm. Check in was quick and efficient,... More

We stayed in the 'Old Tuscany' room, with a very nice four-poster bed, a large stone fireplace. The room was lovely, and was far better in appearance and feel than the pictures had suggested. The bathroom was small but modern and complemented the room nicely. The building itself is on the corner of a narrow street, with a dining room... More

We visited the 'Bisto' for a second time to celebrate my partners birthay having found this place last year. We booked by e-mail and the hotel owner sent us the menu and wine list. The staff made us feel very welcome and had decorated our table in rose petals and a very tasteful birthday balloon. The food was lovely and... More
