Jill and Brett are warm and generous hosts who make every effort to see that their guests feel welcome.. We enjoyed glasses of wine and conversation at their kitchen table and in their lounge. We stayed in the upstairs room. It was so roomy, easy and comfortable. Seperate and private bathroom was large and has everything you want and need. Views from the room upstairs are great, lush back yard and historic well preserved town. Hosts are wonderful. more

We loved the Painswick village (no tourist buses), Byfield House, its garden and the hosts equally. Lovely eclectic mix of furnishings and paintings adorn the many rooms.
