A gem in the golden Coltswold crown! This wonderful B&B is highly recomended to singles and couples alike. Iris is so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble! Cups of tea and delicious home made cake on arrival makes you feel like a friend. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast (local sausages and bacon like in the old days, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, home made bread... yummmmmy) is simply first class! Iris has introduced Fairtrade to Painswick (and it is everywhere now in this beautiful village), the B&B is part of the Green Tourism Business Scheme and guests are quite rightly urged to be careful with water and to turn off lights and appliances when leaving rooms! Greg and Iris support the local economy both personally (the butcher and baker etc) and by urging guests to try one of the many excellent 'eateries' in the village and surrounding area.
