Had a lovely weekend away but............ Firstly, the staff are welcoming and the restaurant is superb. The food and service were charming and efficient. However, for £385 a night we did not expect the lack of attention to detail with our package. One or two little mistakes can be forgiven but any more begin to irritate: We were supposed to... more

Came for dinner - the evening itself was fabulous and not to be forgotten in a hurry. The staff were incredibly polite and attentive, and not fussy which can often be the case. The atmosphere was more relaxed than we expected (thankfully!) and we were made to feel very welcome straight away. The food was amazing but it’s difficult to... more

Exhaustive search for a 3 day Cotswolds stay fortunately led us to Lords. As we were touring around I spotted most of the other places we were considering, and really glad we chose them. Location is incredible, away from the hubbub of most of the other more touristy towns. We booked the Cotswold room, which was very comfortable and beautifully... more

Superb hotel.....but their pricing policy leaves a sour taste. They may have got away with it in the more affluent days but now it makes little sense. Will avoid returning and search for alternatives.. more

We stayed here as a treat for my wife's 40th birthday - we booked the Cotswold Hideaway package direct with the hotel - very good value for B&B, evening meal and a ticket to Blenheim Palace. From start to finish we were treated very well by the staff - not in that fauning manner of a lot of expensive hotels... more

I made a reservation at the hotel then read the review by "Grumpy Old Devil" and almost cancelled my booking, Thank goodness I didn't, we had a fantastic stay, the location was perfect, a retreat way from this mad world. The food was outstanding the best I have eaten in a long time. I did speak to the General Manager,... more

This is my second visit now to the Lords and it is no different from my first. The hotel is based so perfectly in a very quiet picturesque spot and so close to all the interesting sites and beautiful little villages. The greeting at arrival and the help with our luggage were much appreciated. The General manager greeted us and... more

My husband and I chose Lords of the Manor for a short getaway after some business in London. The setting and building are lovely. The village of Upper Slaughter is simply magical. I am an author from the US and ended up writing several chapters of my next novel while drinking coffee on the lawn at Lords of the Manor.... more
