We had the misfortune to stay in Room 22 at the Lyndhurst Park Hotel. We actually had to choose this room as the other room that had been alloocated to us smelt dreadful. Room 22 is the smallest double room you could ever imagine. It would have been cramped with a single bed in it. The space between the bed... more

We booked a one night stay in a family room. The hotel is tired and in need of a complete refurb. The family rooms are furthest away from reception. If you (and only 1 other) have the courage to use the 3 sided lift you will save some muscle wear lugging bags to your room. The room was dirty and... more

Stayed here for a wedding for two nights. The wedding was great and the evening superb but the hotel....... is very tired looking and in need of a really good refurb. We had booked a Premier room but it really wasn't. View of the garden was very limited and the facilities in the room not what I would call Premier.... more

Although we only stayed one night it was a special occasion as my brother had just arrived from New Zealand. He was over for a 4 day conference and the organisers had booked him into the hotel for the duration of the conference. We picked him up at Heathrow and wanted to have a celebratory dinner with him before departing... more

We also stayed here in August and it is such a shame about the facilities. The lift is indeed like a large dumb-waiter. And although they are child-friendly the facilities are inadequate to back-up this policy. The family rooms are in the new wing. Our room was on the top floor, along a long corridor and then worse...up about 6... more

Definately in need of refurbishment. Lift was completely inadequate, it was the size of a postage stamp. We could not fit our buggy in and we were all terrifed to get in therefore required a walk of 2 flights of stairs several times a day. The decor is in desperate need of updating, although our hotel room was pleasant. However,... more

This is a good location for exploring the forest, but it was a real shame to see what could be such a good hotel looking so shabby. Our room was quite dated, but did have a balcony overlooking the gardens at the back which was quite pretty. Otherwise though, for the money it was quite disappointing. The hotel rooms desperately... more

This hotel is very tatty and needs a large investment. It is very large and the rooms can be a long way from reception. Several things in the room didn't work. The room itself was of a very poor standard. more

We recently spent two nights at this hotel for my husband's birthday. Never again! Arriving about 6.45pm, there was very little parking available. We booked in and were told no dinner was available until after 8.30.. no problem as we had intended to eat out. After a half mile trek to our room we found it to be quite nice... more

The hotel gets better as you get closer. The car park is unremarkable, although it is certainly big enough. The entrance and lobby are large, there are several lounges, and our room was one of 2 with a bay window over the garden, witha lovely view. This hotel gave us the best night's sleep for months, one of the best... more
