Really enjoyed our stay @ Hotel Terravina. The room was beautifully appointed and very spacious. Particularily the bathroom which was larger than some bedrooms I've stayed in. Plenty of towels and the toiletries from Long Barn which we've used before were very pleasant indeed. The bed itself was at least a Queen. The food was very good, the staff pleasant... more

We stayed here for one night and didn't want to leave! There are 11 rooms in total and the doors had been left open ready for new guests. How could I resist having a good nosey around? I would have been delighted with any of these rooms with each having their own idiosyncratic features. We had a room with a... more

We stayed for just one night, but would have loved to have stayed longer. Food and wine are excellent, I'm sure that they will receive a Michelin Star soon. Wine choice is extremely varied and starts at a very reasonable price. We stayed in one of the deluxe rooms that came with a roof-top patio. Looking forward to staying again. more

We spent 2 nights at the Terravina over the bank holiday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was excellent - staff were accommodating to the children's requests - above and beyond the children's menus. The rooms were clean and well equipped with the first decent hairdryer I have come across in a hotel room. Service was also top notch, all... more

Having tried on more than one occasion to book this hotel (but always found it full), we finally suceeded to get a last minute reservation for a quick night away. The hotel setting at the 'top' of the new forest is great for either visiting the forest, coast or cities around. We didn't quite know what to expect style wise... more

This is an odd place. It has only a dozen or so rooms, and most of these have the bath tub not in the bathroom, but in the bedroom! This means a huge amount of space in the bedroom is occupied by...you guessed it ,the tub.And of course, the bathroom is tiny and squished as a result.I don't know what interior decorator they hired who... more

Went here to quietly celebrate my 40th birthday with my wife. Great food, great wine (the Somellier was particularly knowledgeable and really approachable) and the setting was great in the New Forest more

We found this hotel when nosing around in the New Forest, and luckily a cancellation meant we could stay. Apparently that is quite rare and you have to book well in advance. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. There are brightly coloured wellies lined up at the door, and a range of non-tacky local craft bits on display. The... more

Expecting a country hotel, surprised to be driving through a rather drab residential area but once in the hotel grounds we understood the hype. Reception was excellent - unobtrusively swift, friendly and helpful - as was the service throughout our stay. A small but pleasant lounge and separate function room for company awaydays or family outings. Stylish and spacious hotel... more

We have just returned from the Hotel Terravina where we have just enjoyed an amazing dinner. My husband surprised me by taking me here for dinner for my birthday and I cannot wait to return. My advice is to get a taxi home (as we did). The wine list is extensive and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The food is... more
