We decided to stay at Travelodge Portsmouth because of its really close location to the Portsmouth Ferry Terminal. However, we'd have happily slept in the car for the night that we spent there. Usually on TripAdvisor, if like me, you will read a review and think "Crikey, it can't be that bed!" Trust me. This was awful. Just look at... more

We chose this hotel as we managed to get the saver price rooms for 3 nights so saved a lot of money compared to other hotels nearby even the full price rate is still chepaer than most. Hotel was easy to find, has a good restaurant underneath and is only a short walk to the main town - a bit... more

had booked in here after returing with the family from France. The first family room was dirty and smelly. The bed seteee where the kids were meant to sleep was torn and dirty. Mattress was also very stained as was the mattress on the main bed. Bathroom dirty, black mould everywhere, tap broken and shower curtain rail very rusty. Hair... more

We stayed here for one night to catch a ferry to Cherbourg. This is a truly awful hotel. We got there at about 2:30pm, were refused access to our room until 3 and were told that we could NOT leave our bags there while we went into the adjoining bar to wait. Accordingly, we schlepped our luggage into the bar,... more

Was pleased to see the Hotel at the end of a long journey, and the welcome at Reception was very nice. We had booked two rooms for two nights, and there were no problems with this arrangement. As had booked this during the same week we stayed, had to pay full price for both of the rooms we had, BUT... more

I ordered what I thought was a cooked breakfast online to discover that my husband and I would be woken up between 5 - 7am on a Sunday morning for a bowl of cereal and a nutri-grain bar (I paid £4.05 for this - ridiculous). When I asked for a refun d as I'd rather go without they said they... more

stayed for one night with our dog, she was welcomed very nicely which was nice. The rooms were clean but showed signs of age and wear and tear if we were staying more then one night we would have asked to be moved. The rooms were like ovens very hot, thee was a fan but it was useless, we were... more
