It would be hard to imagine a more welcoming guest house than Gill provides in Portsmouth or anywhere else. We were offered a French-press carafe of excellent coffee upon check-in while enjoying conversation and learning more about Portsmouth and what we should highlight during our brief visit. Stayed at the Pier for 5 nights in King size bed-Full english breakfast all was fantastic & Gill was a wonderful host.Will be back again to enjoy more of Portsmouth & Isle of Wight. “Excellent B & B”

A welcome cup of tea from Gill after being shown our lovely room was just what we needed. The room had everything you needed, was charming, comfortable and good value. Breakfast was lovely and Gill very obligingly took us and another couple down to the Historic Dockyard thereby saving us the 8.00gbp for car parking, which was a great saving.... More

Immaculately clean with fresh flowers in the breakfast room and our bedroom, we had a wonderful stay at The Pier in Southsea. We had an overnight stay at The Pier, Gill made us very welcome from the minute we pulled up outside, till the minute we left. All the reviews are correct about The Pier. Lovely B&B, lovely rooms, lovely food & lovely host.

Stayed here for two nts while on break with my 14 yr old son we stayed in the twin room and it was lovely, the room was clean with a well stocked welcome tray and the beds were comfy with bedding that was luxurious, we arrived early afternoon to drop our bags off (we got the train down from notts)...
