We were very impressed with the cleanliness and size of the room (although a bath would have been nice, but it didn't spoil our stay!) The breakfast was excellent with a very large selection of fresh fruits, as well as cereals, cheeses, toast etc and you could eat as much or as little as you wanted. The only downfall was... more

Having read some negative reviews on here about this hotel, I was apprehensive as to whether the Lodge would be in poor condition and dirty. However, as it was the cheapest stay I could find in Portsmouth (£29) I still booked. And I'm glad I did! Overall I found the room to be adequate. It was certainly clean and had... more

We like Portsmouth area because it has history, seaside and good places to eat and drink. Good road links mean you can get about easily just expect delays in the rush hour. This was our first stay at the Hilsea Lodge, four nights in a disabled room. It was clean , comfortable and in good order. The bathroom bright and clean.... more

We stayed in the Lodge at Hillsea whilst we visited the Goodwood Revival Festival for 3 days, & we had my 70yr old Dad with us as it was his birthday. We all found the rooms spacious, clean & perfectly adequate, & we took advantage of the 2nights for 3 offer. It was great to be able to eat in... more

We stayed at the Inkeeper's Lodge prior to an early ferry crossing the following morning. I didn't like the fact that reception wasn't staffed and we had to trapse into the pub to check in (I know inkeeper's Lodge aren't alone in that) The room we were given was 'no smoking' - the legal ban having come into force a... more

We stayed at the Innkeepers Lodge for 1 night prior to an early morning sailing to France. We had 3 family rooms. On initial view our rooms were quite nice, however when having to make up the sofabed for my children (ggrr this annoys me as its already done for you at a Travel Inn). Dirty linen fell out of... more

This is our second year to stay at the Innkeepers Lodge. Good value, especially when you get the 3 nights for the price of 2 - stay Fri and Sat and get Sun free (£58 per night). Rooms are large and comfortable, very clean and with everything you need. Mattresses may need changing though as you can feel the springs.... more
