I have just spent 4 days with my family in this guest house and the experience was not one I wish to repeat.

Firstly, payment was taken in full from my credit card nearly a week before we even arrived and on arrival, I was shocked to find that the Club next door, advertised on the Website as famous in Southampton, was derelict. On ringing the bell we were greeted in a most surly and impolite way which did not make us feel welcome.

Secondly,the lock on our room was faulty and the curtains were broken. My daughter could not sleep on her mattress it was so old and lumpy; you could feel every spring.The room itself was very dated and didn't contain the tea and coffee facilities which were promised on the Internet. The owner said we could make tea in the kitchen, but I was shocked to find the kitchen in a state of grimy disrepair and when I took the milk out of the fridge, it was so old it separated in my cup of tea.
