We laughed off the greeting we received as a bad day had by the staff concerned. However, the reception was the same for our friends as they arrived. We were told the rules 5 times! Having been harrassed by the staff throughout our stay and putting up with drunks wandering the site, we'd had enough by the end of the... more

I do not agree with previous comments about the staff. The check-in staff were lovely and friendly and even when we managed to blow up our airbed with some over zealous pumping (they thought a gas canister had exploded), saw the funny side of it. The horses roaming the site are a real treat. We heard owls in the night... more

Our family and extended family have over the last 40 years stayed at this campsite which has many fond memories for us all. On the 7th and 8th August, 28 of the family ages ranging from 3 months to 67 years camped with 3 other groups in the rally field for a long overdue get-to-gether, we had a great time... more

First time camping and Roundhill was a very pleasant introduction. Facilities are very good standard and available 22 hrs a day. Lovely walks nearby, the children loved the rope swing over the stream. As did some of the adults, me included. more

We’re avid campers and really look forward to getting out of London on the weekends to wind down and relax. Unfortunately this was not the case at Roundhill Campsite, while checking in I was left speechless by how rude and unaccommodating the women at reception was toward us. Simple reasonable questions about the site and facilities were met with short... more

We went on the May bank hol, so the most busy time. Full campsite, but still enough space and they have a 6m between pitch rule. Lots of kids and masses of space given they don't allow camping on every inch, so large areas of grass left un-pitchable. Beware of animal, ponies and donkeys roam free. Actually witnesses a donkey... more

Great campsite for its back to nature feel. Plenty of room between pitches and good clean facilities. There are no showers but as I was staying only one night this was not a problem (there are washing cubicles available). The highlight of the campsite were the various ponies, cows and donkeys that roamed the campsite and the fact that it... more

Beautiful location and great amount of space in which to enjoy your surroundings. Caters brilliantly for couples and families alike. Variety of pitches make each stay different. Wash / toilet facilities basic but good and clean and with a swimming pool fairly local, showers can be had at very little expense. Barbecues allowed as long as they are kept off... more

Roundhill is basic compared to nearby Hollands Wood with no showers and very limited provisions from reception but benifits from lots of open space, no road noise and choice of pitches - open field, under trees or amongst gorse bushes. Watch out for horses - we had one in our tent last time round. more
