We went for an art weekend, we used all the facilities, the twin room (no 3) was very comfortable & clean, we did read the reviews before going and all we can say is the hotel must have had a bunch of moaners before. The staff very friendly, food delicious & plenty of it. Great value on the special deal.... more

I couldn't agree more with Roncita, the staff were unfriendly and rude, the only people that smiled were the cleaners and it seems they are the only people doing a good job in the hotel. The food was generous but of poor quality and the cups had several stains. We stayed in the rooms at the top and we definitely... more

I can fully agree with "Fairy64". I am the one who had the bigger bedroom looking to the indeed very busy road. You can get used to the noise; especially after days full of activities I went to bed dead tired. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. Hopefully my friend will ask me to join her, when... more

My friend and I spent three days in one of the cottages next the hotel and fully enjoyed our stay - though the noise of the traffic was indeed a bit disturbing.( As I slept in the small bedroom looking to the garden I didn't hear much.) Everything was okay , accomodation, breakfast and service. If I ever returned to... more

If you have opted to stay in this B&B it must have been out of desperation. We (2 couples) booked at the last minute because it was the only place that had any availability left for a one-night stay – and now we know why! We were met on arrival by a very un-smiling, unfriendly girl at the reception. So... more

I am sorry, but you were told at the time of booking that the only rooms left available were on the second floor, will low ceilings and an en suite bath only. You chose to accept them. Many of our guests ask for these rooms on repeat visits. I take offence at your comment that we use the cheapest possible...

The hotel is on a main busy road, so not the quiet place I thought it looked on the picture!!! Stayed in a room on the top floor (room 8), the shower was not working. When I complained, the girl said she knew about it however I was not told when I booked. She said I could have a shower... more

We advertise that we are on the Southampton Road - does this sound like a quiet leafy lane? You were told at the time of booking that the room had an en suite bath only, not a shower, in fact I remember repeating the fact several times. Your were also told at the time of booking that the first night...

Just stayed at the Knightwood Lodge Hotel and wish I had found this review site first. The Knightwood Lodge Hotel's web site page has lovely pictures of beautiful rooms with lovely views, sadly this was not the case. Our room was shabby, the window would not close properly and had gaps, the hotel is on a noisy main road, there was... more

My partner and i stayed for two nghts on the breakfast and evening dinner deal. I read the mixed reviews and was a little worried on how we would find the hotel and facilities. We are not demanding guests expecting 5 stars for 1 star prices, but here is our take on the Hotel: Price wise, the hotel has more... more

Hey ho you can't win them all! I am sorry if #45 per person per night for a double en suite room, with a complimentary bottle of wine and box of chocolates in the room on arrival, three course dinner, full breakfast and use of an indoor swimming pool etc is thought to be expensive. Our many, well travelled, regular...

Excellent location for exploring the surrounding area. There is a great Italian restaurant within walking distance which served lovely food and wine . It was ideal for all the family. The play equipment outside kept our 6 and 3 year olds happy! We stayed in the appartment which was fine, but quite noisy at night as it was right next... more

Although we cannot reply to you personally, the hotel does not supply 100w light bulbs as was requested for your two night self catering break at 22.66 per person per night. With regard to your comments about staff here is a quote from Mr and Mrs Rodemark who stayed here just before you and thought they had lost a large...

We'd booked the Knightwood Lodge because we wanted to come to the New Forest with my wife's parents and her sister's family. We needed somewhere our two young nephews and our dog would all be welcome. After having booked the apartment and a room in the main building, we found the reviews on Trip Advisor and panicked. The reason for... more
