Small B&B about 15 minutes walk to train Station, 25 minutes into the city centre. Bus stop very close (but hardly any service after 8pm) and taxi into city centre about £7.
I stayed in a single room - quite small but adequate unless you plan to spend a lot of time in the room. Bed linen was of a good quality and the bed was very comfortable.
Bathroom was shared but was clean and with a very large shower. There was also a separate WC just next door. In the room itself there was a sink with good lighting for shaving, putting on make-up etc.
Tea and coffe-making facilities are provideed in the room. Small TV, no cable.
Breakfast is downstairs in a pleasant dining room, had a lovely cooked breakfast, cereals and yoghurts were also available.
Overall very good value for money if you are on a budget and I say this after having tried several B&Bs in Southampton. more
