It's a nice place and everyone is pleasant enogh, but the emphasis is obviously on serving the local clientel, in particular the restaurant. I would have rated this pub well above average if it wasn't for the breakfast. It's in a quiet location yet just off the A33 and within easy reach of the M3 and A303.
