I went away with my boyfriend for a relaxing weekend away to Norton park last weekend. From when we arrived to when we left all the staff were polite and helpful. We went for a meal at Scene and although the portions weren't massive and the wine was on the pricey side. The food was delicious and we left the... more

Stayed here with my husband to celebrate our anniversary, very nicely modern furnished room with ample clothes storage, ironing board, hair dryer, laptop safe (free), good sized bathroom with over-bath-powershower and fab fluffy towels replaced each day. Room was also quiet. Grounds of hotel are expansive, but only surrounding the 'manor house' is really suitable for sitting or walking as... more

My partner and I decided to head to Winchester for some quality time together; on a budget! Obviously, luxury wasnt in the forefront of our minds when we were searching for a hotel but we were very excited when we found Norton Park, a 4-star hotel, offering a Summer Deal!! ROOMS From the outside the hotel looks very chic, very... more

We spent a lovely weekend in Winchester and stayed at Norton Park, on one of their weekend deals with 2 nights accommodation, 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner included. The room was great: spacious, modern, clean and quiet, the indoor pool and other spa facilities were fantastic. The most outstanding part of our stay was the breakfast. This was the best... more

Make your own mind up. Maybe some people have had mixed experiences - the reviews on here nearly put us off booking! Personally, I can't see what the fuss is about. My wife and I stayed for a weekend and had a great time. Considering 4 star Norton Park was the same price as some of the 2 star hotels... more

The hotel is modern and clean, and though the room we booked was a standard double, the quality of the furnishing and decor was excellent. The only problem we had with the room was that it was too hot despite it being a cool weekend and we had the windows open. This meant we had to have the fan on... more

I can only echo what other reviewers have said: this hotel has some good points but it lacks atmosphere and the overall experience is distinctly patchy, particularly where dining is concerned. I booked a weekend break for a special occasion (our anniversary, which I mentioned) and was invited to pay an extra £50 to upgrade to a superior room. On... more

It's like the other reviewers have said. Good hotel - I had a standard bedroom but it was excellent - and awful restaurant. It's simply pretentious and overly fussy. If I wanted to be pretentious myself I would say that it was summed up by its quirky choice of cutlery. Fancy-looking but not actually pleasant to use. Others have correctly... more

Arrived at this hotel and despite telephoning ahead some days prior and asked that they ensured rooms were adjoining we were allocated 2 rooms in different buildings. This was rectified. Then as we had been travelling for 6 hours to get there asked if we could go into dinner as soon as possible. No booking available for 1 and 1/2... more

The Norton Park Hotel is graded four star and it, undoubtedly, is a four star but there are intriguing elements... The original manor house seems to be on a very slow downward route whereas the hotel proper (evidently built quite recently) evidences serious attention to fixtures and fittings. The bedroom fixtures and fittings are of a high standard; note: besides... more
