Friendly, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Set in beautiful grounds. Breakfasts were superb. It was bitterly cold when we stayed but the room was cosy and warm. Enjoyed 2 late afternoons in the conservatory with the sun beating down. Within walking distance of the Cathedral, great guided tour and views from the top. Several restaurants and pubs nearby. Would recommend.

The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and spotless. About a 10 minute walk into town for shopping and sightseeing. Breakfast is delicious and served by the owner Helen while her husband Steve prepares the food in the kitchen. She's wonderful for offering tips on day drives or local shoppes and restaurants. Bonus: Super Hot shower with forceful spray, heated towels, curtains... More

Booked this B&B without knowing anything about it for my parents. It is a real gem. The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and having stunning views. My folks really enjoyed their stay and are planning to return in the near future with friends.

We can really reccomend this Guest house. The first impression was very warm and friendly. and the second was of a spotlessly clean bedroom ,the breakfast was perfect with plenty of choice. it was in walking distance to the shopping area and local pubs.

A beautiful house, kept immaculately and in a handy location. The collection of Titanic memorabilia on display throughout is unusual and added interest. Our room, with a small en suite shower room, was well presented and comfortable. Breakfast was fine. But we got a strangely cold welcome and experienced disappointing service. Asking any question (Would you please suggest a taxi... More

I stayed at Charades a couple of weeks ago because my son was getting married in Hereford. I loved this guest house. The owner, Helen, was friendly and helpful (I didn't meet Steve). My room was warm and comfortable and what impressed me was the feeling that they weren't being mean - so often when you stay at places there... More

Happened upon this B&B on a trip to Hereford whilst looking online and then drove past and the pretty house with lovely gardens caught our eye, although probably the wrong time of year for us to enjoy the garden! Was under the impression that all rooms were en-suite but the room we were offered actually had a toilet next to... More

Very happy with my stay here. I was made to feel very welcome. Owner was very helpful. My room was lovely- quite traditional but with very modern bathroom. The breakfast was great. I'll definitely be back soon- I often work in Hereford and Ledbury so this place is convenient for both.

“My wife and I visited in Hereford in July to carry out some archive research not realising that the 3 Choirs festival was on, but we were lucky to find a splendid hotel run by the owners Steve & Helen Craddock – Charades - was large late Victorian family house set in its own grounds, (large enough to make it... Very clean, nice views. Room a little smaller than expected from photo but still good. Old fashioned art work and strangely an electric recliner chair made us wonder if it would suit an older client. Plentiful food and choice for breakfast and good service. Short walk to town, very convenient. Pleasant stay. Recommend.
